| We
are very passionate about the trees that we grow, and the positive
effect they have on our landscape, environment, habitats, and
much more besides. We are always happy to advise on the appropriate
species for your planting scheme and to meet your objectives for
woodland, hedging, or general tree planting.
Just to plant and nurture a single tree from a small cell plant,
and watch it grow towards maturity is an immensly rewarding experience,
and we hope that our enthusiasm for that process will encourage
others to plant indigenous species of trees on their land and
hedges.
Our location in the heart of Exmoor, means that we can confidently
supply trees to any upland area, with species that are robust
and indigenous. Because of the cell grown system, they are easy
to plant and nurture.

Every year we collect seed from known sources
for the future provenance or our stock. We can even grow stock
with a specific provenance for your requirements. Our species
list is always evolving, so if you don't see what you need, please
contact us and we may be able to find what you are looking for.
Tree

a particular project, we can send you a mix of species apropriate
to the conditions and requirements. Please
contact us for details. |
Peter Farmer
& Carol Bigge, using their combined experience in farming,
forestry and horticulture, started Exmoor Forest Nurseries to
satisfy the demand for sturdy trees and shrubs which would survive
in exposed environments.
