Description
A large deciduous trees with deep purple oval leaves which become reddish in autumn.
Produces small flowers that are followed by spiny fruits; known as beechnuts or mast that are found in small burrs which drop from the tree in autumn.
Although not evergreen, Beech will retain old leaves in winter, which provide additional interest and screening.
Growing Conditions:
Grow in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.

Important Note:
You’ll receive a 2 year old well established whip that’s between 20 to 60cm in height.
This is a deciduous tree and so will shed its leaves in autumn, in order to protect itself from the cold winter weather. Come spring, it’ll burst back into bud and begin to flourish once more.
